13th November 2018 – Message from Mr Andy Brant, Headteacher

At the end of last week an important leaflet was sent home with all students from Estyn called Understanding Inspection in Schools and asking for Parents to take the time to complete an online questionnaire giving their views on Ysgol Rhosnesni.  I would like to encourage all parents to please take the time to complete this questionnaire before the deadline.  Should you require another copy of this leaflet it can be found by clicking on the link below:

13th November 2018 – Governing Body Update.

Thank you to the applicants who put themselves forward for the 2 x vacant Parent Governor roles and to the parents who to took the time to vote.  I can confirm that the two successful applicants are Mr G Monks and Mr R Owen.

I am also pleased to confirm that following a successful Teacher Governor Ballot, Mr Charles Whitney-Lang, Progress Manager Year 8/9 was the successful applicant.

I’m sure you’ll join the school in welcoming them to the Governing Body.

Please see below a copy of the letter from Mr Brant being sent home with students today, you should also receive a copy of the school newsletter. 

We have some outstanding data collection and consent forms and some parents will also receive these today with a request for completion.  It is important that we have correct contact details available in school and that you have given your consent for use of computer systems, photographs etc.  If you do receive these please take the time to complete and return these to school after half term.

We would like to wish all of our staff, students and their families a great break and look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 5th November. Have a lovely half term break!

The window for nomination for our 2 Parent Governor vacancies has now closed and we are pleased to announce that there have been 3 applications.  Ballot papers will be sent home with all students next Wednesday, 24th October (not 31st as per the original letter) and we look forward to receiving your votes by 12 noon Friday 9th November 2018.
