Dear Parent / Carer,
One of the nation’s largest teaching unions, the NEU, has declared national strike action for the following dates:
Wednesday, 1st February
Tuesday, 14th February
Wednesday, 15th March
Thursday, 16th March
You may have seen in the press that the strike is a result of a national dispute between teaching unions and the government.
I am contacting you to forewarn you that learning may be seriously disrupted on the dates listed above. As soon as I have clarity about the implications of the strike, I will immediately share our arrangements with you.
In the interim, I would ask that you be mindful of the dates above and begin considering childcare arrangements should school closures become a necessity.
I understand that this situation may be frustrating for parents and carers. However, I stress that this is a national issue and not a local dispute.
