The History Department are pleased to offer the chance for students in Year 9, 10 and 11 to visit the World War One Battlefields of Belgium and Northern France.

Students will leave school on Thursday 21st March, 2024 and return on the following Sunday, 24th March. The visit will include a 4 day/3 night guided tour of various battle sites and memorials including:

  • Tyne Cot British Cemetery
  • Hooge Crater
  • The Somme
  • Vimy Ridge
  • Newfoundland memorial Park
  • Ulster and Welsh Memorials
  • Thiepval Memorial to the Missing
  • A Belgium Chocolate shop experience
  • the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate

We will be based in Ypres, Belgium and much more than listed above will be included.

The cost of the trip is £424 which includes 3 meals a day once in Belgium, accommodation and all excursions.

Parent Pay will be set up for you to make the following payment schedule. If you wish to pay the full amount you can do so alternatively, please contact me to organise your own payment plan.

Deposit: £50 ASAP to secure your place

Second Payment: £162 – 9th December, 2023

Final Balance Payment: £212 – 9th January, 2024
