Year 10
During Year 10, pupils will be given opportunities to revise and develop work done in KS3 over all skill and topic areas. Topics covered will include material from everyday activities personal and social life and the world around us. Pupils should aim to understand and use vocabulary, grammar structures and tenses, old and newly learnt, with increasing confidence and accuracy.
Year 11
During Year 11, pupils will further develop their listening and reading skills. More emphasis is placed on writing and speaking and pupils will work on topics including education and employment, media, free-time, holidays, social issues and the environment. Pupils should aim to understand and use vocabulary, structures, grammar and at least 3 tenses with confidence, accuracy and variety.
